In the menu above you can find many info and news, but now let us introduce ourselves.
We are a private chess club which comes to occupy a space among the sports clubs of the municipality of Arona. Our objective is to make known the magnificent world of chess.
The Arona Chess Club is currently the only one in the municipality of Arona and, along with another in Playa San Juan, the only ones in the southern region of Tenerife. In the northern area there are more than 15 clubs.
Firstly, we intend to give coverage to Arona fans, so that they have a space where they can play. Secondly, we want to make chess known among the boys and girls. Thirdly and most importantly, we want to attract tourists visiting the south of Tenerife. The possibility of playing chess, after spending a full relaxing day, become another good reason to choose Tenerife for your vacation, correct?
An important activity will be our participation in study classes for children.
The Arona Chess Club inauguration took place on May 27, 2022 at the stunning OA Beach Club of the Hotel Europe Villa Cortes, in Playa de Las Américas – Tenerife. The event was a simul exhibition with WFM Adhara Rodriguez Redondo fighting against 28 players of any age!
