Italy will host the World Senior Team Chess Championship
Today FIDE announced that the World Senior Team Championship 50+ and 65+, will take place from 19 to 30 June 2022 in Acqui Terme, Italy.
The city of northern Italy is famous not only for its gastronomy, but also for its spa area and the Baths, with the Hotel Antiche Terme, home to a grandiose park, the spas and numerous other hotels.
The tournament will be played in four categories: ages 50+ and 65+ (open and women) in the town conference center. The event is a Swiss System team competition with teams of five players (4 board players + 1 optional reserve player).
