Great result for Daniel Dardha at the Orillas de Mar tournament!
Here is the video of Daniel’s stunning victory in the second round against the strong Lithuanian FM Pijius Stremavicius (2401 Elo)
The young Belgian chess player, over 2600 Elo points, finished the tournament with 6.5 points out of 9, finishing second, together with 6 other strong Masters, and without losing a single game!
Dardha, 17 years old, is a great chess talent. He won the Belgian absolute championship in 2019, at age 13!! and then in 2021. In the same year became Belgium’s youngest ever Grandmaster. He was just 15!!
The result at the Orillas de Mar tournament is further confirmation of Daniel’s talent. He is one of the most promising young chess players in the world. Daniel has all the cards to become a star in the world of chess.
We look forward to seeing him in the next edition of Orillas de Mar. The most important tournament in the Canary Islands and one of the strongest in Spain, next June 2024!
